Health & Safety Policy
Last updated: 25 July 2025

I take the health, safety and wellbeing of my clients, myself, and the broader community seriously. This policy outlines how I identify and manage risks to provide a safe and respectful environment for everyone I work with—whether online, in-person or at external venues.

1. My Commitment
I am committed to:
-
Providing a safe and supportive environment during sessions
-
Minimising risks to physical and emotional wellbeing
-
Acting in accordance with applicable laws and Work Health & Safety (WHS) obligations
-
Responding promptly to any safety concerns
While I am a small business, I approach health and safety with the same care and responsibility as larger organisations.

2. Creating a Safe Working Environment
Whether I’m working from my own space, hiring a venue, visiting a client, or running a session online, I take steps to make sure the space is:
-
Clean, tidy and accessible
-
Free from known hazards
-
Set up to support client comfort and confidentiality
-
Compliant with any local health advice or venue safety procedures
If meeting online, I ensure platforms used are secure and private, in accordance with any and all regulatory and legislative requirements.

3. Managing Risks and Incidents
I actively monitor and manage risks related to:
-
Slips, trips or equipment issues
-
Personal health and wellbeing
-
Emergency or unexpected behaviours
-
Psychological safety and emotional triggers
If an incident does occur, I will:
-
Ensure immediate safety
-
Provide or seek appropriate first aid or support
-
Record key details
-
Follow up with you and any relevant third parties as required
4. Client Responsibilities
Clients also have a role to play in maintaining a safe environment. I ask that you:
-
Let me know about any accessibility or support needs in advance
-
Follow safety instructions during sessions
-
Speak up if something doesn’t feel safe or right
-
Respect any shared or public spaces we may use together
5. COVID-19 and Infectious Illness
I follow local public health guidance and encourage:
-
Rescheduling in-person sessions if you feel unwell
-
Hand hygiene and ventilation in enclosed spaces
-
Offering remote (online or phone) sessions when appropriate
6. Review and Improvement
This policy is reviewed regularly to ensure it reflects current laws, risks, and good practice. I also welcome feedback on how I can make my services safer and more accessible.
